An InRoads user asked for Mark's help with how to accomplish this work task she was asked to do:
Hey Mark,
I've been asked if I can remove a few area's from the earthwork calculations. They would like me to run my earthwork again, but there won't be any work from sta. x to sta x, so can I remove this length from the calculation? I hope this description is clear.

Here is the Zen Dude's response:
Hi Jill!
That's pretty easy:
On the End Area Volumes command, go to the Volume Exceptions leaf and just define the Station range (Start & Stop) to exclude. InRoads won't calculate volumes between those sections.
