An InRoads user and Zen book buyer asked for Mark's help with this question:
Hi Mark,
I am currently working my way through your Zen Guide to InRoads Essentials workbook.
A couple months ago I had emailed you with some InRoads questions in which your answers were very helpful but I'm struggling with something else.
My current design is for an urbanization of a cul-de-sac. I have designed the appropriate template for the cross section at 4m, 6m and 10m but would like to transition to carry on a horizontal curve layout as seen in the first picture. The second image is the layout that I have been able to construct with straight transitions. Is there a function that will allow me to set the outside curb gutter to a separate alignment while maintaining my centerline to existing alignment? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mitchell

Here is the Zen Dude's response:
Hi Mitchell!
Ahhhh ...cul-de-sac's!! ... You gotta love 'em!! ... or not.
There are a number of ways to address cul-de-sacs and I personally approach them in different ways, but none of the techniques involve multiple template drops with transitions. I'll throw out a bunch of thoughts and hopefully you'll be able to track my process and pick something up. (Sorry it's not super-formalized ... I'm kind of busy ; )
Here's a graphic that I tossed together to explain aspects of this. (I'll refer back to it later).
